Buy the Venado Top sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. The Venado is a casual knit top designed with both comfort and style in mind. The top features a V-neckline, mini shawl collar, and front placket with buttons. It has long and short sleeve options to suit your style and the season. The pattern also includes regular and full bust options for a customised fit (full bust has bust darts). Suggested fabrics: Use light to medium-weight knit fabric with 50% horizontal stretch and good recovery, such as jersey, interlock and lightweight French terry.

Fabric requirements: 

Long sleeve top: 54" (135 cm) wide fabric: 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 yd (140 - 230 cm).

Short sleeve top: 54" (135 cm) wide fabric: 1 1/4 - 2 1/8 yd (120 - 190 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 40 with regular and full bust options (approx. UK 6/8 – 34/36, based on our ). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

A note from the designer about bust options: To determine if you should use the regular bust front pieces or the full bust front pieces, subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 3″ (7.5 cm) or less, use the regular bust. If the rounded difference is more than 3″ (7.5 cm), use the full bust.

Notions: Lightweight knit or tricot fusible interfacing; two 9/16" (15 mm) buttons; 12" (30 cm) of 1/2" (1.25 cm)-wide straight fusible stay tape (or you may cut your own using lightweight woven fusible interfacing on the straight grain).
